Two years of work to add 20,000 sqm of warehouses with a storage capacity of 90 million pieces between brass fittings and other components

After 2 years of work, the extension of the Dall'Era Valerio headquarters in Sabbio Chiese has been completed. We are particularly proud of the growth and today we see the fruits of a project started from afar, strongly wanted. The evolution of the company has been characterized from the beginning by investments aimed at the future. Choices that lead Dall'Era Valerio in 2000 to move from Lumezzane to the current address in Val Sabbia, looking for more functional and larger spaces. Since then, more than twenty years have passed under the banner of constant growth on the international markets thanks to timely investments in terms of logistics and machinery. A growth achieved also thanks to customer countries such as Germany and the United States, just to name two. The long-term goal is always the same, achieving maximum efficiency and ensuring the impeccable quality of the Dall'Era product.

Expansion creates a warehouse for 90 million brass fittings

The expansion of the headquarters is therefore the last step of the long industrial adventure of the group. Since 1966 when the production of about 1,000 pieces per day is almost entirely handmade to date that we approach 1.3 million components made daily. The new wing represents a further step forward in delivery efficiency, which can be managed in an automated and precise way. A warehouse where there are 90 million pieces between brass nuts and other fittings.

Construction began in September 2021. After a phase that saw the closure of a first step of works in September 2022, today a work of almost 2 years ends. An innovative plant for technological equipment combined with a low environmental impact.

Objective: Reducing environmental impact and increasing energy self-sufficiency

Reducing the polluting impact that industrial production can cause is one of the cornerstones of the expansion project. Spaces able to sustain themselves from an energy point of view, because they produce clean energy and allow a reduction in CO2 emissions. Thanks to a photovoltaic park placed on the roof of the latest generation of 1 MWh of power can generate up to 1,200,000 Kwh/ year. Energy self-sufficiency equal to 25% of the total requirement of the production of brass fittings and nuts. But not just environmental attention. The new spaces are characterized by insulating panels covering the external walls to ensure high thermal efficiency and at the same time give an attractive appearance to an industrial building. In addition, the heating system is underfloor. The aesthetic choices are also to the benefit of a pleasant impact to the eye for a shed of impressive size. We are talking about 15,000 sqm visible above ground, in addition to 5,000 sqm underground, for a total expansion of 20,000 sqm.
